#toogoodtogo #boxdispensa #sprecoalimentare #nofoodwaste Mirco Cerisola Alessandro Sarti Juliette Carcano Vincenzo Antenori Sofia Bertani Claudia Malnati Lorenzo Busso

🤯 Did you know approximately 10% of food waste In European households can be attributed to confusion between Use By and Best Before labels (EC, 2018)? Which is the equivalent of 8.5 million tonnes of CO2e entering the earth's atmosphere annually (Eurostat, 2023; Blonk, 2024). 🌍 This #EarthDay, we want to inspire and encourage people to trust their senses, reduce unnecessary food waste, and help the planet. 😋 While Use By labels on products indicate safety, Best Before labelled items are all about quality and can still be good, even past the date. 🥫 That’s why we’re hugely proud of Too Good To Go’s coalition with some of the world’s leading consumer goods companies including: Unilever, Danone, Mondelēz International, Nestlé and Bel, who have incorporated Too Good To Go’s bespoke ‘Look-Smell-Taste’ date label on their products with a Best Before date. 👀👃🏾👄 The initiative encourages consumers to trust their senses and ‘Look, Smell and Taste’ items with a Best Before date before wasting them. 🤝🏽 Today, more than 500 brands participate in Too Good To Go’s ‘Look-Smell-Taste’ date labelling initiative, as a result the label is printed on approximately 6 billion packs of products with a Best Before date annually. Want to understand more or get involved? Visit tgtg-label.com. P.S. Keep an eye out for the label on some of your favourite products! #LookSmellTaste #TechForGood #ClimateAction #Sustainability
