We have just received a devastating EMail purporting to show evidence from a student at the Cairo Vetenary University. We have not had time to verify all the details yet, but you must read the comments beneath the video from others who have viewed the barbaric content. We have constantly said that just as it was for ourselves when we had to swallow the harsh realities of animal treatment in Cairo, you owe it to your own humanity to swallow it also - and then follow this story to do something yourself to help stamp these practices out for good.

Firstly, we need someone urgently to translate the Arabic conversation throughout the video - to English. This will give a chance to verify the place, the time and the circumstances of the content. Please if there is someone out there who can do so, get in touch with us and we will be able to take the matter further. Use either the message board on our front page or privately use the following EMail link, gabriel.1@talk21.com  When we have some verifications we will tell you what must be done next, and show how you can play an active part.

Secondly we need anyone who has direct direct knowledge of this video, its maker, or further verification of the practices filmed, to come forward to us and speak: In complete confidence if necessary. We need verifiable whistleblowers who have the courage to share their information.

In the meantime, as always with your help, we will continue to champion every avenue in our own way to bring humanity to the treatment of all animals in Cairo. Please support us. A friend posted this on facebook, and being a person that loves animals I have to take this seriously.  The University Cairo are being accussed of doing this to stray animals (dogs).  I am unsure as to how to approach this but I have only warned the university on a facebook fan page that I have seen this video, I uploaded the video asking if this was true.  Of course they wouldn't admit it.  But I thought if those who like the page saw the video they too might look into it and pester the university for an answer. Even if they stop because they are afraid they have been exposed that is still a good thing.  I mean I live in Cairo and see how animals are treated here and it disgusts me.  I just need some pointers as to how to handle this, this was kind of like the last straw with the cruelty of animals in this country that triggered something within me to do something about it.
 
If there is anyway I could contact you via telephone that would be great, I just thought maybe you could help you are the only Animal welfare group I found online.
