Robert, you are a star!

Books ordered arrived in excellent condition and within fantastic time.

Some of the books ordered were out of stock unfortunately but Robert from their customer service team (not an ai bot either) was amazing and made the refund process problem free.

Best thing is these guys aren't amazon. Support other companies guys :)

Quick delivery from an ethical supplier

I haven't ordered through Bookshop.org for a while. The last time I did so, the order fulfilments process was a bit slow. This time, I ordered books at the weekend which were delivered by Royal Mail on Tuesday in a parcel without excessive packaging. The fact that purchases through the website help local bookshops is the icing on top of an excellent ordering experience.

Easy to use website

It was very easy for me to make the purchase I wanted. They kept me informed of progress and delivery all along the way and the items arrived exactly when planned. And, best of all, always great to know you’re still supporting your local bookshop.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service! Would far rather give my money to independent book stores than to Amazon!

Always a good experience

The book I bought was easy to find on the website and arrived on time.
I love being able to buy online while still supporting an independent book store.

Lisa does it again!

I was so excited to receive an advance copy of Shelterwood and couldn't wait to dive right in! I was not disappointed! Be sure to pre-order your very own copy which goes on sale June 4th!

This dual timeline story is inspired by events that occurred in Oklahoma in the early 1900s. I love that Lisa finds little-known historical events and weaves such fascinating stories from them! I feel that the untold histories Lisa brings to light are critically important chapters in our Nation's history. It is shameful that, through the years, so many children have been exploited by those who would use them for their own selfish and greedy purposes - usually to get gain. In this novel, Lisa focuses on the "elf children" - Native American orphans whose guardians used them to get access to land and oil money while neglecting and often abusing them.

I instantly fell in love with young Ollie's strength of character and willingness to protect a Choctaw child (Nessa) that has been boarding as a ward in her home after the girl's sister, Hazel, disappears suddenly. Ollie fears her stepfather doesn't have good intentions toward the sisters and that the worst has happened to Hazel. The girls flee into the wilderness, embarking on a perilous journey through the Winding Stairs Mountains of Oklahoma. They eventually find shelter in the wilderness and are joined by several other "elf children". The struggles and hardships these children endured are heart wrenching.

Lisa has meticulously researched the hardships these children endured, their resourcefulness as they struggled to survive in the wilderness, and has brought to light the Oklahoma pioneer women who fought for them in times when women didn't even have the right to vote. She has sensitively and powerfully woven a story filled with inspiration, true historical facts, a little bit of mystery and menace, and the power of friendship in vivid detail, while ensuring that this moment in history would not be forgotten.

We also meet Valerie Borden-Odell, who has come to Oklahoma as a park ranger to work in the fictional Horsethief Trail National Park in the Winding Stair Mountains in 1990. She has recently become widowed after a tragic incident and has brought her young son to Oklahoma, hoping to start a new life. She soon becomes involved in the search for a missing teenager and discovers a mystery surrounding unidentified remains found in a cave in the mountains.

As the storylines converged, the resolution was crafted perfectly.

Shelterwood is captivating, heartwarming and thought-provoking. I highly recommend Shelterwood and anxiously await Lisa's next writing adventure!

This book is an amazing

This book is an amazing, life changing, mind altering read. As I read the book, it was as if the author was looking into my life! I was continually seeing my self, reading intently for encouragement and grit to reach my goals. As a retired Pastor, I know multible persons will gain from his insight and knowlege. It is a MUST READ! After you have completed reading how you can overcome obstacles and thrive in this life, and build resilience, you will find yourself picking the book up continually. It is more than a "self-help" book. It has become a reference to return to for encouragement and resetting your mind to achieve your dreams.
Kevin is a gifted writer who knows how to touch the soul of a person through story telling and encouragement. I have already purchased multible copies and given to friends and family to help them believe in themselves and build that resilience to achieve far beyond their expectations!

Love being able to support independent…

Love being able to support independent bookshops around the world with a click of my mouse! Really competitive prices and a great mission. Have ordered many times and always been happy. The one time I needed assistance with my order (due to a USPS error), their customer support team was incredibly quick to respond and resolve the issue.

This book is a gift!

Othered is an honest and vulnerable depiction of the short- and long-term effects of wounds inflicted by the Church. In Othered, Auman beautifully weaves together her own experience of betrayal and move toward healing with biblical truths that not only stir the soul, but provide insight into the ways we, as followers of Jesus, have failed to recognize the image of God in each other. What a gift Auman has given us by trusting and blessing us with her story!

I will use this site in the future. It's good.

Clear, efficient web-site. Easy to select and buy the books I wanted. Glad to support independent bookshops.
A suggestion for a minor improvement: I bought the books as a gift so they were not delivered to me (that was easily done on the website). But it would be better to have an optional contact (email or phone) for the recipients so that _they_ can know when the delivery will happen, not me.
