I went in skeptical as usual. Chelsea and Chloe both kept me more than reassured and more than optimistic about my decision to move forward. I’m one of those who will only take time to write a review if I have something to complain about. However, I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to write something positive about my publishing team. I encourage anyone considering venturing out on a writing journey, to give Palmetto the reigns. Again, thank you to my publishing team.

This was my first foray into writing a book and having it published. I did my research, I read reviews and I ultimately chose Palmetto Publishing based on the research I did as well as the recommendation of friends who had previously used their services. I can most assuredly say Palmetto did not disappoint!

I worked with Aaron Brewer and Weston Richards. Since I’ve not done this before, I didn’t really know what to expect. Both Aaron’s and Weston’s guidance throughout this process proved to be invaluable to me. From the initial telephonic meeting to cover design to interior formatting/edits and launch, they were responsive and patient with all of my questions and concerns.

A quick example: My cover design was barely an idea when I presented it. Weston quickly sent back a couple proof options - one of which was EXACTLY what was in my head. It’s like he could see my thoughts.

If you’re looking for a publisher, please do not hesitate to utilize Palmetto’s services. You’ll be very glad you did.

I felt they were more concerned with my book being exactly what I dreamed of it being and with it being “perfect” in my eyes than with $. They did not nickel and dime me. It was such a wonderful, loving experience for me. They explained everything to me very well and they worked and reworked everything until I was happy with the outcome. Love the à la carte options. What I need more that anything— advice and formatting for a children’s fiction book with a ton of illustrations.

What impressed me most was the cordial, courteous attitude and incredible accessibility. Troy and Kristin ALWAYS responded nearly instantly and returned my calls, without exception, as schedule.

They worked with me tirelessly, and I love the result. I would recommend without hesitation.

Palmetto made the whole process seamless from start to finish. The lead consultant thoroughly explained the process and all the steps that would be in place from start to finish. The project coordinator worked with me through every step of the process. The only disappointment I found was with the cover design. Outside of that, everything was a smooth, successful process.

I enjoyed working with Allison and Chloe because they pay very close attention to detail and answered all my questions promptly. My book cover was almost like I had envisioned it prior to seeing it that it was eerie. Katie's editing went smoothly and she had left a very detailed editors note that proved she not only edited my transcript, she read it. My descriptions were worded exactly how I presented it. Page layout was great. Chloe explained everything in the process in great detail, never let me wait too long without an update of the process steps. If I write another book, I'm emailing Allison and Chloe directly to sign up. It's not that I won't work with anyone else, I just don't want to work with anyone else. Customer service was outstanding! I haven't seen the book in printed form yet but I'm positive that will be outstanding as well. I can't see either Allison or Chloe let anything slip by that wasn't first rate.

Here I am writing a second review for Palmetto Publishing. Today I received my paperbacks I will sell at book signing events. The cover image is perfect, the margins are great, the quality of the paper is wonderful to touch; very smooth and white. The book was organized and printed exactly as I had laid it out; just what I asked for. I'm sitting here this evening amazed that all my efforts and time has paid off. The look and feel of the books are of fantastic quality. I think my friends that have look awaited the arrival of my book will gladly want to have a copy. Now, I'm waiting on the hard cover I ordered for myself. Bravo, Palmetto.

I turned to Palmetto Publishing for marketing reasons. The cost was several thousand to print, market and advertise my book. My book was well received by reviewers. When the process was over with dismal sales, I was told "The market for books is saturated." My first quarterly royalty was $11.89. Do not work with this company unless you have a lot of money to spend and don't need much return on your book.

This is my first attempt at writing a book, and if this is what it feels like to go through the process , there will be many more books. The customer service and attention to detail is impeccable.
