Exceptionally poor quality control on the product purchased. Support was unable to resolve to my satisfaction and the defective item was returned. Refund took forever to process. A company to avoid.

The person that came to my house made it sound like I would be saving money. She never mentioned the cost of IGS energy. It turned out that this program was MORE expensive than what I now have. I immediately cancelled this service. Beware!!!

It’s not often that we have a great experience with a service company these days. However NRG was a breath of fresh air for us. We purchased a new roof, solar panels and a battery system. They beat out all of their competitors and gave us what I researched to be the best equipment. Their process was very organized and efficient. We had a contact person throughout each stage of the project and it seemed like everyone knew exactly what they were doing. We got the roof installed within 2 weeks and had the rest of the project completed within about 60 days. Much of that time was spent waiting on the city to approve the plans and then sign off on the final inspection. Our roof looks great and the solar panels are cranking! We have yet to have a power outage so not sure how the battery runs yet but I can see it in my app and it’s fully charged! Would recommend NRG highly if you are in the market for any of the above mentioned!

The young man that answered the phone was able to pull my issue up and address it. He was very helpful in adding a note to the email as to what the problem might be so the technicians would be aware. He was very pleasant and helpful.

This review is regarding a battery purchase I made 6 months ago on 11/25/23. There was a holiday sale on the 3 Kong battery models. I bought the Kong Elite Max (naturally!), it arrived just over 3 weeks later. After using it a bit I realized it didn’t have the power it was advertised to have and after much investigation I realized they sent me the Kong model which is 7 kW less power. I contacted Shop Solar and sent pictures, etc. proving I was sent the wrong battery and even more they turned off the part of the digital display that showed the kwh and cycle counter of the battery and also changed the label. The representative was very evasive and repeatedly lied to me. I finally just gave up. I did a review on their site, but it was gone a few days later. Around the middle of April 2024 Shop Solar sent me a link for a Trust Pilot review so just for fun I did the review. Well, this one got their attention, and it was escalated to management, I am so blessed I got Maddie as my rep. She is very honest and was determined to get it resolved quickly. She answered emails quickly was just a pleasure to deal with. She said the manufacturer was responsible and after contacting them they wanted the battery back to “inspect” it. Well for several reasons I refused to do that, for one it is heavy and awkward, hard to load and strap down. I wasn’t about to let it leave here without a complete refund incl. shipping. The same people that changed the display, label etc. are supposed to be trusted to confirm my situation? She agreed and offered to send me a battery with about the same power as I was shorted, and I agreed. They promptly sent the battery, and everyone is happy. Shop Solar handled this as good as could expected, my advice is if you have a problem and can’t get anywhere with the reps ask for management preferably Maddie, it will be resolved.
